Michelle Hernandez
Born and raised in the Bronx, Michelle Hernandez is a Dominican- American writer with a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing with a concentration in Poetry and Non-Fiction. She curates her essays and poetry with tender love and care to educate the world and empower underrepresented communities.
Michelle writes as a form of activism to inform readers about the experiences of Hispanics, feminists, educators, and children of immigrants. Some people don’t understand the concept of being marginalized or why it should be discussed, so Michelle uses her writing to shed light on these underrepresented realities. She believes it’s vital to acknowledge and embrace our differences instead of being ashamed of them.
